Metro will provide fare-free transit on Tuesday, November 5th during the General Election with the Bus to Ballot program.

Anyone can board a Metro bus or ORBT fare-free all day on Election Day. MOBY will also be fare-free for certified MOBY clients.

“Part of Metro’s mission is to connect people to places that matter, including the ballot box” said Daniel Lawse, Metro Board Chair. “Bus to Ballot helps ensure transportation is not a barrier for people to exercise this important right.”

This marks the seventh time Metro has offered Bus to Ballot, having provided free rides for the elections in 2016, 2020, 2021, 2022, and earlier this year for the primary election.

“We take great pride in providing Metro’s essential services fare-free on Election Day. Bus to Ballot helps make sure people are able to participate in the democratic process,” said Metro CEO Lauren Cencic.
