Metro will provide fare-free transit on Tuesday, May 14th during the Nebraska Primary Election with the Bus to Ballot program.
Anyone can board a Metro bus, ORBT, or MOBY fare-free all day on Election Day.
“Metro’s mission is to connect people to opportunities. One of the biggest opportunities and responsibilities most of us have is to exercise our right to vote,” Lauren Cencic, Metro’s CEO said. “Bus to Ballot is part of our commitment to helping people participate in their community,”
This marks the sixth time Metro has offered Bus to Ballot, having provided free rides for the elections in 2016, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
